Mrs. Jokotade Agbaje graduated with a second class upper degree in law from the University of Kent at Canterbury in July 1982 and obtained an LL.M from Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge in July 1983. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in July 1984 and commenced her working career with Ogunsanya & Ogunsanya in 1985 after completing her NYSC with Merchant Banking Corporation.
Mrs. Agbaje remained with Ogunsanya & Ogunsanya until February 1991 when she joined Marina International Bank as the pioneer Company Secretary and Legal Adviser, a position she held until she returned to Ogunsanya & Ogunsanya in October 2005. Marina International Bank was under the technical management of AIB PLC (Allied Irish Banks), the leading Bank in Ireland. She had the opportunity of interacting with international professionals and business people in cross border transactions.
Her experience covers all areas of Corporate and Commercial Law, Banking and Finance and Company Secretarial Practice. She was pivotal to the consummation of the merger of Marina International Bank and Access Bank. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
